The desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux. Free for 5 users, and you do not need an account to download it.
No. Download it now and look at it. You will need a free workspace before the app can track anything against a project, and you can create one when you are ready — start free, no card.
The macOS button opens our listing on Softonic. Press Free Download there, then open the .dmg and drag Happy Tracker to Applications. The build is signed by Happycoders Private Limited and notarised by Apple, and it is a universal binary, so it runs natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
The first time you start tracking, macOS asks for Screen Recording permission — that is what screenshots need. You grant it in System Settings → Privacy & Security, and you have to quit and reopen the app afterwards for macOS to honour it.
Run the .exe. Windows SmartScreen will show a warning the first time, because the installer is not yet signed with a purchased code-signing certificate — click More info, then Run anyway. We would rather say that plainly here than have it come as a surprise.
The .deb is for 64-bit Intel and AMD machines:
sudo dpkg -i happy-tracker_*.deb && sudo apt-get -f install
On Wayland the app asks once, through the desktop portal, for permission to capture the screen. Choose the screen you want and tick remember, or it will ask again on every capture.
You can track time from the browser instead if you prefer; you just do not get those four things, because no browser can do them on any operating system.
