Effective 29 July 2026 · Happycoders Private Limited
Happy Tracker is a workforce time‑tracking and productivity platform provided by Happycoders Private Limited ("Happy Tracker", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. Happy Tracker is a business‑to‑business (B2B) product: your employer or organization ("the Company") subscribes to Happy Tracker and configures how it is used. For personal data processed on the Company's behalf, the Company is the data controller and Happy Tracker acts as a data processor.
In short: Happy Tracker only records activity while an employee is clocked in. What is captured (screenshot frequency, blur, activity mode) is chosen by the Company. Every screenshot and activity block is visible to the employee in their own timesheet, and employees can request deletion of their own screenshots. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.
Employees are onboarded by their Company, which is responsible for obtaining any consent and providing notice required by local law. Tracking runs only while you are clocked in, and you control when you clock in and out. If you have questions about your Company's monitoring practices, please contact your administrator.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Screenshots are stored in secured cloud object storage (Amazon Web Services). Screenshots are automatically deleted according to the retention period of your Company's plan. Other records are retained for as long as your Company's account is active or as required to provide the service.
We share your information with the Company that operates your workspace (your administrators and authorized managers). We also use trusted sub‑processors to run the service, including Amazon Web Services (hosting and screenshot storage) and email delivery providers. These providers process data only on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law.
The desktop app requests Screen Recording permission, which macOS requires to capture screenshots. Screenshots are only taken while you are clocked in. You can revoke this permission at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording.
Happy Tracker is a workplace tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
